MS Awareness Month puts focus on being connected
March 08, 2023
“MS in Today’s World: Staying Connected to Yourself, Your Health, and Your Community” is the theme for the upcoming National Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness Month (NMSEAM) in March 2023.
Our society is in a period of rapid change. With MS, your health and circumstances can also change suddenly. How can you stay grounded and appreciate where you are now, while still being prepared for the future? This year’s National Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness Month theme highlights tools and skills you can use to stay connected to yourself, your health, and your community, while looking ahead to what’s coming next in the world of MS.
This year’s theme puts the focus on how to make the most of the moment you are in, advances and changes in the state of MS care, and the advantages of keeping in touch with the MS community. This includes such practical matters as learning techniques to cope with the bad moments, learning to engage in healthcare decision-making that is facilitated by your doctor but led by you, and staying current with subscriptions, podcasts, and educational programs.
Our awareness kit will help you stay informed and our teleconferences will help you get empowered so you can be an active part of “MS in Today’s World: Staying Connected to Yourself, Your Health, and Your Community.”
